"Peak Boredom: Watching the Same Thing Like Itβs Your First Time" π
Yesterday was a good day. My pain was minimal and side
effects were well controlled, Sherrie and I even got in a fun game of Rummy
Cube one of our favorite games. We have been big Doctor Who fans through the
years so it has been fun to blast back to the 1970s and watch Tom Baker's
brilliance. The shows are cheesy, filled with over actors, special effects were
done by a nine-year-old, and performed in that dry British style but, I am sure
on sure I'm on an island here and may have just lost your respect for my
decision-making judgment, but that's what makes them so good. Some of the newer
episodes with David Tenant and Matt Smith are even binge-worthy. Unfortunately,
the latest batch in my opinion are horrific train wrecks and I have just to stop
watching. That was a little bit of a rabbit hole but it tried to pull us
out quickly and no I don't have a sticker on my little SUV that says. "My
other Car is a Tardis"
Now back to the topic at hand. Currently, Iβm in the chemo
pause period where we let the chemo get in there and do the fighting for us and
we await the results. During this period white blood cells will become leukopenia
(extremely low in count) and I will remain in the hospital during this time as
I will be immune compromised. After about 14 days after treatment began the WBC
rises and my body begins to recover There may be a chance that I will return home
for a short stay before Part B is begun but it depends on how I have responded
to the therapy including the severity of the side effects Iβve experienced and
as of right now it has not been good. At this moment I am barely able to put things
together that make due to exhaustion. Until the next post. May the Lord be with
and bless you.
