Symptom Management

Yesterday, we met with the Supportive Oncology and Survivorship Team to discuss symptom management including pain and sleep challenges. We came up with a plan that hopefully will bring some relief. Unfortunately, I called every pharmacy in our area and the pain medication they put me on is out of stock.  So, we are coming up with an alternate plan as it's urgent because at night the pain is so bad it only allows me 2-3 hours of sleep a night. The plan, however, cannot be implemented until after the weekend because the doctor is out of the office until Monday, so it will probably be a rough weekend. The biggest challenge with all of this is that between the pain, stomach problems, fatigue, and lack of sleep, I am pretty wiped out during the day.

Thank you again for all of your prayers. The Lord continues to bless us through his tender mercies.

“Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

“Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

“If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?” (Matthew 7:9–11).
