Enduring the Side Effects: My Unfinished Hospital Stay
Updated 02/26/2025 2:23 am
So excitedly we headed home after only 5 days in the hospital which we were happy about considering our last day was 2 and 1/2 Weeks. So we packed everything up, jumped in the car, and headed home,e and then all hell broke loose. I ended up with a severe case of diarrhea that would not stop and nausea and vomiting that was debilitating. So after I trip to the ER, where they didn't know exactly what to do they decided that care couldn't happen outside the hospital so back into the hospital I went.
They put me on a bunch of nausea, pain, and other medications to help me through the side effects. Fortunately, it was just the chemo that was causing these problems. Fortunately, I don't have any kind of major infections or serious complications that we need to be worried about is just managing the side effects. Right now I'm sitting awake at 2:00 am and seem to be doing okay. I was able to get some pudding and some saltines down and they're staying down so far.
So I'm not sure what the plan is or how long I will be in here again but here's praying. That when I leave I will have everything under control. But once again it is time to show some patience.
"Nevertheless, without patience, we cannot please God; we cannot become perfect. Indeed, patience is a purifying process that refines understanding, deepens happiness, focuses action, and offers hope for peace." Continue in Patience By President Dieter F. Uchtdorf April 2010
Also just a reminder about the fundraiser any amount that you can give would be wonderful! Also, if you could repost it to any of your social media platforms that would also be very helpful. And if you can't do any of those things simple prayer to heaven would be appreciated and we will will be eternally grateful.
