TIMELINE OF CANCER JOURNEY

1. Tuesday, Dec 03, 2024 at 03:20 PM
   I Had an MRI due to pain in my back.

2. Wednesday, Dec 04, 2024 around noon
   I received a phone call from Dr. Hobbs's nurse indicating that Dr. Hobbs wanted to meet with us to review the MRI Results. The nurse said bring your wife.

3. Thursday, Dec 05, 2024 at 2:15 PM
   Dr. Hobbs informed us that based on the MRI results I have cancer. So, she made a referral to Huntsman Cancer Institute and ordered several CT Scans

4. Tuesday, Dec 17, 2024 at 10:00 AM
   Had a CT Scan of my Pelvis, Abdomen, and Chest. The results showed no tumors in those areas.

   I Met with Nicole G. Orgain, PA-C, MPAS at Huntsman Cancer Institute. She is on the undiagnosed team that helps determine the type of Cancer that people might have so she can refer us to the right cancer team.

   Bone biopsy of a bone lesion on my iliac wing.

7. Monday, Jan 06, 2025 at 10:00 AM
   I was diagnosed with B-Lymphoblastic Leukemia/Lymphoma (B-ALL) An urgent referral was made to the Hematology and Pain management teams at Huntsman Cancer Institute so as to the aggressiveness of the cancer.

8. Thursday, Jan 09, 2025 at 10:30 AM
   I met with the Supportive Oncology and Survivorship Team today to discuss symptom management, including pain and getting some sleep. We came up with a plan that hopefully will bring some relief.

9. Thursday, Jan 16, 2025 at 2:00 PM
   I met with Dr. Paul Shami, my hematologist, who will determine the type of treatment and work with us during treatment. He performed a physical, talked about the cancer, and then ordered a bunch of tests. We are scheduled to meet next Thursday to review the results.

10. Friday, Jan 17, 2025 at 9:00 AM
    Bone Marrow Biopsy. It was a little painful but not too bad.

11. Wednesday, Jan 22, 2025 at 6:00 PM
    MRI of the brain found cancers involving the skull bones and vertebrae not tumors in the brain.

12. Thursday, Jan 23, 2025 at 12:30 PM
    Second appointment with Dr Shami to go over results and treatment plan.

13. Thursday, Jan 23, 2025 at 5:30 PM
    Emergency admittance to the hospital for an MRI due to concern about cancer involvement within the spinal cord causing loss of function in the left leg. MRI found involvement but confirmed bulging discs causing the issue.

14. Friday, Jan 24, 2025 at 10:30 AM
    PET Scan found cancer involvement in the bone marrow through the skeletal bones and growing rapidly.

15. Sunday, Jan 25, 2025 at 12:00 PM
    Sherrie's 53rd birthday and sad that she had to be sitting with me in the hospital.

16. Sunday, Jan 26, 2025 at 4:00 PM
    The first day of chemotherapy followed the Hyper CVAD protocol. This protocol requires several months of on and off-hospital stays then two years of maintenance treatments.

17. Monday, Jan 27, 2025 at 2:00 PM
    A lumbar puncture, similar to an epidural, is performed to check for cancer in the spinal fluid and injected with chemotherapy. (Update: 01/30/025 - No Cancer was found in Spinal fluid)

18. Sunday, Feb 2, 2025 at 11:00 AM
    A second lumbar puncture, similar to an epidural, is performed to check for cancer in the spinal fluid and injected with chemotherapy.

19. Friday, Feb 14, 2025 at 10:30 AM
    Second bone marrow biopsy. It was such a "fun" date for Valentine's Day though I encourage you not to try it.

20. Wednesday, 19, 2025 at 2:00 PM Second trip to the hospital for part B of round one of many.
